What Type of Content Should You Have for Your Business?

Hey Brock, what type this content should I have for my business? 

Depending on your business, there’s a lot of different things you can do. You can rehash news, you can do an industry tip, you can educate, you can inspire. You can do something motivational. You can tell them a little bit about you. You can post something that’s just in general random. It’s all okay. 

How you wanna look at your content is in terms of content pillars. Let’s say you have a marketing pillar, a sales pillar, a networking pillar, and a copywriting pillar, and then a fun personal life pillar.

So with these five things, then you’re gonna blend your content to incorporate all of these things. That way people can know a little bit about all the things that are important to you, plus they can build that relationship. 

In the end, that relationship with you is gonna be the bond that makes you not a commodity. And makes you personally interesting to that specific follower or subscriber.

So, let’s rehash in summary.

Create content pillars: Know the four to five main topics you would like to discuss in your branding. This could be distributed across all major platforms. For example, linked in, Facebook, Instagram, X, Youtube, Pinterest, and more.

Further, I would like to add to emphasize your personal brand. Gone are the days that people should be allocating energy to their business page. No. Yes, you want it to exist. But no, you do not want to share most of your content there. Make sure to err on the side of allocating more energy towards your personal pages. After all, people prefer to follow people over businesses.
